It can be grown in evergreen forests because, in dense forest, sunlight does not reach them properly. There is widespread confusion among various homeopathic doctors that extracts of Abroma Augusta and Abroma radix come from different plants. But it’s not true. Actually, both come from the same plants. When we made an extract from leaves of its plant then we called it Abroma Augusta. And, when we made an extract from its root then it is known as Abroma radix. It was first included In homeopathy by Dr. D.N. Roy after proving its effectiveness.
The root of the contains bromine (betaine), friedelin, abromasterol, abromasterol A, choline, beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and Octacosanol and Leaves contain taraxerol and lapel.
Use in the women Menstrual problems:
Its roots are used in menstruation trouble. Normally in women, one menstrual cycle is completed in 28-29 days starting from the first day of menstruation till the next one. Some women experience menstrual problems like cycle either become longer or shorter. Abroma Augusta or ulat kambal roots are highly useful in these cases.
